MISSION

The Extraordinary Black Youth Art Show is committed to discovering, nurturing, and showcasing the diverse and dynamic talents of young Black artists. Our mission is to provide a platform where these young creatives can confidently express their artistic visions, receive recognition for their work, and be inspired by their peers and mentors. We are dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that not only highlights the artistic achievements of these young individuals but also empowers them to explore and develop their talents further. Through this celebration of art, we aim to contribute to the broader dialogue of cultural expression and identity in the Black community, inspiring a new generation of artists to pursue their passions with pride and confidence.

VISION

Our vision for The Extraordinary Black Youth Art Show is to be a leading force in the cultivation and celebration of young Black artistic talent on a global scale. We aspire to create an enduring legacy that not only highlights the artistic brilliance of the current generation of young Black creatives but also paves the way for future generations to explore and embrace their artistic potential. We envision a world where these young artists are recognized and valued for their contributions to the tapestry of global art and culture, breaking barriers and setting new standards of excellence in the arts. Through our continuous efforts, we aim to create a lasting impact that transcends the art world, fostering a community where creativity, diversity, and empowerment are at the forefront.

About the Curator

Joshua Love, hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a curator, communicator, and the founder of two significant art exhibitions: A Marvelous Black Boy Art Show and A Spectacular Black Girl Art Show. His initiatives aim to address the underrepresentation of Black artists in the art marketplace and provide a platform for them to showcase their talents and artistry.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Joshua Love embarked on this mission in 2019. Since then, he has successfully curated more than 150 exhibitions in over 30 different cities, featuring the works of over 3000 local Black artists. These exhibitions have collectively made a significant impact, generating over $5 million in artist sales, which is a testament to the talent and creativity of these artists.

In his own words, Joshua Love’s dream is to create spaces where Black artists not only have the opportunity to exhibit their art but also feel acknowledged, supported, and celebrated. His efforts represent a vital step towards a more inclusive and diverse art world, where artists from all backgrounds have the chance to shine and thrive.
